Los Angeles, CA – UNITE HERE Local 11 denounces the US Supreme Court’s ruling on the “Muslim Ban” case, initiated by travel bans announced by the Trump administration in the spring of 2017.

“We strongly condemn the short-sighted, divisive tactics of the Trump administration. Our country has been built by immigrants of all faiths,” said Ada Briceño, Co-President of UNITE HERE Local 11.

“Our Muslim and sisters and brothers are members of our union and members of our communities. We are disappointed that the Supreme Court has not stood up to protect them today.”

“UNITE HERE has long advocated for inclusive immigration policy for our workers and our country, and we remain committed to being a leading voice against xenophobia and discrimination. This ruling today does not change our position.”
