UNITE HERE Local 11
UNITE HERE Local 11 represents over 32,000 workers employed in hotels, restaurants, airports, sports arenas, and convention centers throughout Southern California and Arizona. Members of UNITE HERE Local 11 join together to fight for improved living standards and working conditions. Local 11 is an affiliate of UNITE HERE, an international labor union that represents 270,000 working people across he U.S. and Canada.
Who We Are
Our membership is diverse, comprising workers from many immigrant communities as well as high percentages of African-American, Latino, and Asian American workers. We are predominantly women and people of color, and we hail from all corners of the planet. Together, we are building a movement to enable people of all backgrounds to achieve greater equality and opportunity.
Hotels
Local 11 members work in many hotels in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Arizona. Their continued organizing ensures that the hotel industry and its workers grow and prosper.
Airports
Our members are among the friendly faces who greet you when you land in most of the airports in the region. We also represent the unseen army responsible for the preparation and delivery of tens of thousands of in-flight meals each day.
Food Service
Our members are food service workers in corporate cafeterias, airports, universities, sports stadiums, and convention centers.
