Remembering Pushpalatha
Local 11 joined other unions from LA & NYC in vigils to remember Pushpalatha, the 44-year-old Sri Lankan garment worker who died a year ago on October 10, 2025, after management at a Brandix factory (a supplier for Victoria’s Secret) allegedly denied her early medical leave while she experienced chest pains and dizziness during her shift, and passed away hours later.
As Victoria’s Secret brings its fashion show to LA, it must also sign an agreement that brings justice to garment workers in Sri Lanka and Pushpalatha’s family.
