POLITICO: ‘An earthquake’: Nithya Raman’s rise jolts LA’s political establishment

Roberto Got His Job Back at FFG

Twenty-seven months ago FFG fired leader Roberto Munoz.  His case went to arbitration and he won. The company appealed and we had to go to court to compel them to abide by the decision.  Finally, Roberto is back at FFG!  Si se puede!

Marie Won Back Her Job!

Marie works for Aramark at Arizona State University, and she was terminated unfairly. Her coworkers got together, delegated management about her firing, collected signatures for a petition, and demanded she be brought back. She was able to return to work returned to work on October 27, when we fight, we win!

Hudson Workers at Sky Harbor Airport Win First Contract

Two Hudson workers, one a former Trump voter and the other who hadn’t voted in 30 years, vote on paid time thanks to the union voting rights they won in their first contract

Congratulations to the workers at Hudson at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, who won their first contract through interest arbitration at the end of October! They won a pension, access to the legal fund and the HTA, 95% employer contributions for healthcare, and an $8.50 wage increase over four years. They also won the right to vote on paid time, like this former Trump voter and long-time non-voter.

Victory at the Hilton Checkers in DTLA

After a four-month campaign, workers at the Hilton Checkers in DTLA voted to join the union. Their future union contract will cover all 49 workers in the hotel. Congratulations and welcome to the union!

Two $$$ Victories at Phoenix Sky Chefs

Kornoica, a utility worker at Phoenix Sky Chefs, was unfairly terminated and just brought back to work with $4800 in backpay! And another Sky Chefs worker, Marcela, won $1036 for overtime violations!

JETWAY WORKERS WIN A NEW CONTRACT IN LAX

After being without a contract since 2019, Jetway workers at LAX agreed to a new contract that includes tens of thousands of dollars in retro pay! This is the 20th food service contract ratified in LAX in 2026. Sí se puede!

WINNING AT THE SANDBOURNE SANTA MONICA

Cooks and  servers at the Sandbourne Santa Monica finally got a union contract that will give them healthcare, pension and a $10 raise effective immediately. The housekeepers at the hotel got their first union contract in 2019. In that first contract they won partial growth that added the bell department, front desk, engineering and banquets. In their 2023 contract they added the restaurant and F & B departments. Now these workers finally got their contract.  When we fight, we win!
